Vibac submits a preview of the Recy-PP products range designed to support the circular economy and promote the recycling and re-use of flexible packaging.
The Flexible Packaging Europe organization estimates that 30% of the volume of flexible packaging (0.8 - 1 million tons) used in Europe is multi-material, made by combining PE and PP with PET, PA and Aluminum and therefore not mechanically recyclable.
Vibac proposes the new family of environmentally sustainable products Recy-PP, designed to create recyclable mono-material structures that meet the needs of the industry and the end user.
Recy-PP is a range of four products to create high-performance laminated structures. The new plain REB lamination film, designed and manufactured with innovative raw materials, to replace PET, has higher thermo-resistance characteristics than the traditional non-sealing BOPP product.
The three ultra-low-sealable RES, REPS and REGZ, transparent, white cavitated and metallised films, to be used in synergy with the REB film, allow a lowering of the seal temperatures with consequent energy saving and reduction of the wear of the welding blocks.
